Chilli, lemon and cracked black pepper crusted cod.
This was another one of my experimental meals just as we quite often have roast cod with lemon or in bread crumbs so i thought why not combine the two and add a little bit of chilli. This serves two and takes about 10 mins to prepare and 15-20 mins to cook depending on the […]
Spicy Crusted Steaks with Lime and Chilli Onion Rings
This has become a big hit with friends and family, especially the onion rings, the first time i made them i cheated and bought morrisons fusions chilli and lime batter mix. If you don’t want to use beer for the batter use ice cold fizzy spring water. Ingredients[singlepic id=451 w=320 h=240 float=right] 1 Large White […]
Chilli Beef and Bean Burritos
Before i give you the recipe to this i would like to say that there seems to be a lot of discussion over what should and shouldn’t be in a burrito so this is my preferred recipe, whether its right or wrong i don’t know, what i do know is its hot, spicy, packed full […]
Spicy Slow Roast Pork
I absolutely love slow roast pork, this is more for a Sunday roast type of roast pork but i’ve also got a great one for a goulash style recipe. It takes ages to cook but that’s the beauty of it, it’s also really really cheap and very very tasty. Ingredients 1.5kg piece of pork shoulder […]
Spicy Lamb Kebabs
Sorry about the lack of photos here, i did them for a family BBQ at the last minute. They are very tasty and have a distinct Indian flavour for a change! Ingredients: 1tsp turmeric 1tsp garmasala 1tsb chilli powder 2 red chillis(sliced) 2 cloves garlic (crushed) 800g lamb mince salt pepper 1tsp coriander seed (crushed) […]
Crispy Chilli Tortilla chicken with spicy wedges
I had a few things lying around including some of the chillis i had picked last week. So i went all masterchef mystery bag and came up with this. I’d usually use breadcrumbs to coat a chicken Kiev but we recently had some veggie burgers that were coated in crushed tortilla crisps so thought id […]
Lamb, Sweet Chilli, Mint and feta parcels
This was a bit of an experiment which turned out pretty well so i thought id share the recipe, i’ve not got any pics as i was so hungry i forgot to take some. You might think the sweet chilli/mint combo is a bit crazy but its honestly really tasty, you could always use left […]
Spicy Lasagne
This recipe is based on Gordon Ramsay’s Lasagne Al Forno but i add my own little twists to it to spice it up a bit. You could also use left over chilli con carne between the lasagne layers and a slightly less cheesy sauce. Ingredients 2 tbsp olive oil 1 red onion, peeled 1 large […]
Spicy Beef Roulades
These were inspired by some roulades we had from Marks and Spencer in the 2 dine for a tenner (which were delish but i thought i could improve them) Ingredients: 2 thin pieces of your favourite cut of steak (minute/friying/sirloin all work well) two heaped tablespoons of marscapone big bunch of spinach 2 tablespoons of […]
Chilli, Smoked Paprika and maple pork chops
I have done this a few times now and the result was fantastic and gives a lovely sweet smokey flavour with a little hint of fire. You can add [singlepic id=379 w=320 h=240 float=right]more/less chilli, paprika or maple depending on your taste buds. Preperation Time: 5 minutes plus marinading time (as long as possible) Cooking […]
