Chillis, Comedians walking in the rain, a 2cv and a cute little dog
Well the bank holiday is now over and what a cracker it was.
On Friday we went to see Ross Noble at Newcastle City Hall, its the 3rd time we have seen him and he just gets more random and funnier each time, i won’t try and explain the show as it never seems quite right if you weren’t there. Do check him out on youtube though or buy his DVD’s.
Saturday gave me chance to go for a little bike ride and realise just how unfit i have become over the winter, time to get my arse in gear and make sure im ready for the summer, after the ride i did a bit of gardening and then had a few lovely beers.
Sunday was a bit more exciting as my mate dropped his new boxer puppy off for us to look after while they took their other dog for a nice long walk. His name is Alfie and he is an absolute cutie, very lively and a bit of a terror at times, he loves shoe laces and ankles so you have to watch where you put your feet. Looking after him also gave me chance to pot on my marigolds, plant some beetroot, plant out my squash, water my chillis and tom’s and earth up my spuds.
Finally on Monday we walked from Egton Bridge on the North Yorkshire Moors to Grosmont (where we had a quick pint) then on to Glaisdale before heading back to Egton Bridge,it was a lovely little walk with some lovely views and it gave me chance to give my new jacket a good testing for a review im doing for a magazine, along the way i also wanted to rescue a green and white 2cv that was stuck in a field and looked as if it hadn’t moved for years
anyway the next parts of my growing guide and a few more recipes will be coming soon so please check back, in the meantime have a look at my pics from the weekend (the cute dog and the 2cv are on page 2)
