About Us

Chilli Up North was grown from a passion for Chillis, not just the boring red and green ones you get in supermarkets (not that there is anything wrong with them) but the huge array of multi-coloured funny shaped, sweet, sour, spicy and very spicy chillis that can be found all over the world but most importantly be grown (with relative ease) in the North of England.

Between the blog and the main Chilli Up North Website i hope to provide enough information, tips and enthusiasm to spur more people to grow their own…..and spice up their life!

I’ve been growing chillis for a few years now, i started off with one thai chilli plant from the garden centre and have since grown 100’s of varieties and aquired seeds for 100’s more.  As with everthing its a case of continous learning so if you have an opinion on something you read or see here then please let me know as i am always open to new ideas and suggestions.
