Garden update – June 2009
It’s been a while since i posted any pics of the chilli up north chillis or the garden so thought id share pics from last weekend with you.
The rain followed by the sun,followed by the rain seems to have helped everything shoot up, i’ve not kept on top of pinching the tomatoes out so they are massive now, never mind you live and learn
We have also eaten our first peas, new spuds and yellow courgettes, both were very tasty and much better than anything from the shop!

Peter Pecker Chilli Growing Competition Update
For those of you who didn’t see the competition when it was launched, the idea was for people to enter and then grow the provided Peter Pecker seeds and enter their fruit in 3 categories – biggest, ugly duckling and most realistic, with prizes being given in each category.
Well it would seem that the majority of people are having great success with their chillis growing but the chillis are a little slow to show so i propse to extend the closing date from September 1st 2009 to October 1st 2009 to give everyone a little extra time to get the biggest pecker possible. ..not to mention it gives me a bit longer to finish the website off.
If anyone has progress pics of their plants then please send them to me so i can put them on the site!
if you missed the competition don’t worry there will be another one next year!!
